Dyson to open second UK research centre

Dyson is to open a second major research and development centre in the UK as the engineering company ramps up its push to become a leader in future technologies. Dyson did not disclose the size of its investment in Hullavington but has pledged £2.5bn to investment in future technologies. Privately owned Dyson was founded in 1993 and is best known for its bagless vacuum cleaners. The new centre at Hullavington will be close to Dyson's global headquarters in Malmesbury. "The 517-acre Hullavington campus is an investment for our future, creating a global hub for our research and development endeavours."
