HSBC online banking services interrupted in UK

HSBC said it was working to restore service on Friday morning as some customers with bank accounts in the UK reported they were unable to access online and mobile banking. Customers began reporting problems accessing HSBC's online banking services in the early hours of Friday morning as attempts to log in produced a message stating "Your session has expired, please log in". A spokesperson for HSBC said the bank was "Aware that some of our retail customers in the UK are having trouble logging into online banking and mobile services and we are working hard to fix the problem". The official UK Twitter account of HSBC had responded in a similar manner to about two dozen complaints about interrupted service as of 08.50 London time.
