Dixons Carphone maintains forecasts amid mobile shift

Dixons Carphone, the UK electricals and mobile phone retailer, said full-year profits would be around £300m and that trading in the first fiscal quarter was in line with forecasts. Mobile phone sales were down 1 per cent in the quarter on a same-store basis, although it gained market share in handset-only sales and SIM plans. The company, which holds its annual meeting later today, did not give an update on the progress of its talks with the mobile networks. The company revealed a major security breach, with up to 10m customer records potentially being removed from the company's systems.
