Small businesses give their verdict on the Budget
Scotch exports in the first half of 2018 grew more than 10 per cent in value to £1.97bn, but Mr Fordyce said the industry still accounts for a relatively small part of the global spirits market and demand for single malts in particular looks strong. Zandra Moore believes the chancellor needs to take drastic action to ensure more women succeed in the tech industry. The company has international customers in countries including France, Germany, Poland and the US and it wants more; current targets include Turkey and Russia. "I would raise taxes on the wealthy and give more to the poor. If you don't end austerity you are not going to be able to take the population on a journey that will result in the growth we require." Mr Mould said: "There should be more tax relief on R&D for small companies. We have got to have more investment to improve our productivity."
