British Airways strike: Confusion over cancellations continues
British Airways passengers say they are still struggling to get through to the airline after it wrongly told them their flights were cancelled. BA pilots are due to strike on 9, 10 and 27 September - but BA also told customers with tickets booked on other days that their flights were cancelled. After BA wrongly said her return flight to London Gatwick on 8 September was cancelled, she was forced to buy another flight with Ryanair. After initially sending one email informing customers of cancellations due to the strikes - telling them to rebook or seek refunds - the airline then sent a second email to some people saying their original flights would go ahead as planned. A BA spokeswoman said customers who were told their flights were cancelled in error and had booked alternative flights or incurred other expenses would be entitled to refunds if they submitted receipts.
