Ocado halts staff deliveries temporarily amid order backlog
Online grocer Ocado has temporarily halted deliveries to staff members to help clear an order backlog following its tie-up with Marks & Spencer. Its popularity meant Ocado was unable to fulfil a "Very small number" of orders when it began on Tuesday. To help minimise the impact of the surge in demand on our customers, the deliveries for Ocado colleagues were paused for the first few days. Ocado apologised to those affected, saying "The vast majority" of orders were delivered as normal. Most shoppers elsewhere can now choose from 6,000 M&S food items, alongside Ocado own-label goods and big-name branded items.
