Tesco apologises as website and app crash
Tesco's website and app have crashed, with shoppers unable to order goods and track deliveries. Britain's biggest supermarket confirmed that it was experiencing "An issue" after customers took to social media about the website. According to Downdetector, which monitors website outages, shoppers began reporting issues on Saturday. In response to one tweet on Sunday morning, Tesco replied: "Hi, thanks for getting in touch. We're currently experiencing issues with our website that's affecting all of our customers right now. We're really sorry for any inconvenience caused and our IT teams are working really hard to fix the issues as a priority. Please try again later." Tesco's online sales have soared, especially during lockdown, with the supermarket ramping up capacity.
