Tesco asks shoppers and staff to keep wearing masks

Asda said while it would not have staff asking customers to wear masks, "We will still have signage at the front of store that asks customers to consider wearing them in close contact areas, as per the guidance". Marks & Spencer is asking customers to be considerate to those around them when choosing whether to wear a face covering. Sainsbury's said safety was its "Highest priority" and that it would ask customers and staff in England to "Continue to wear a face covering in our stores if they are able to". "Retailers ask customers to be considerate to those around them when choosing whether to wear a face covering and to respect the decision of other customers," she added. Unless you have a reasonable excuse not to wear a mask, people must wear a face covering in all indoor public places.
