M&S holds talks with Angelides over fashion role

Marks and Spencer has held talks with Christos Angelides, the former Next product director, about leading its latest attempt to turn round the department store's out-of-vogue fashion business. The talks with the fashion veteran, who left Abercrombie & Fitch in 2015 having failed to turn it round, were first reported by Sky News. Jo Jenkins, head of womenswear, lingerie and beauty, is the leading internal candidate to become head of clothing. A small number of internal and external candidates are being considered for the role. It is unclear whether Mr Angelides, who sits on the board of French Connection, would be named to the M&S board.
