Edward Bramson faces Barclays defeat head on

One of the big unknowns heading into Thursday's showdown between Barclays and Edward Bramson was whether the activist would turn up to the AGM or not. City Insider hears the bank got an inkling when a Barclays insider bumped into the investor in a Claridge's lift the night before. Today he's a partner at Chris Flowers' private equity house JC Flowers. Afterwards the Downunderer invited Sir Howard, RBS CEO Ross McEwan, Flowers, honorary Aussie/Barclays chairman John McFarlane - plus wives - to the Savoy Grill for a late supper, washed down, Morgan admits, "With far, far too much great Australian Shiraz from the Barossa Valley". He's joining the boards of three tech start-ups.
