Opening Quote: Primark hit by lack of online presence

The June contract is safely above $20 a barrel at $21.36, up 4.6 per cent, while the international marker Brent crude is down 2.7 per cent at $24.88. The London Stock Exchange reported a 13 per cent increase in its first quarter revenues to £615m, helped by huge trading volumes and a string of company cash calls. Revenues in its post trade business, which includes clearing of shares on the LSE's exchanges and over the counter derivatives trades, rose 17 per cent while revenues in its capital markets business were up 15 per cent as companies sought to issue new shares. Goldman Sachs, which lends to consumers under the Marcus brand and issues credit cards offered by Apple, has seen 10 to 20 per cent of such borrowers request to defer payments since the coronavirus crisis, according to a person familiar with the matter. Hin Leong Trading, the oil trader founded by one of Singapore's richest men, is being investigated by authorities after admitting in court documents it had $800m of undisclosed losses.
