Kylie and Kendall Jenner are amongst dozens of influencers BBC Click has discovered to be promoting the sale of imitation Apple AirPods on Instagram. Click's investigation uncovered dozens of social media influencers promoting clones of Apple Airpods and Apple Watches. "We would be concerned that some consumers, swayed by the power of social influencers, and the overall look and feel of the websites, might be misled into thinking they are buying genuine Apple AirPods," Mike Andrews said. The vendors behind the products are known as drop shippers - a kind of intermediary who doesn't make or even see the products they sell, and uses influencers to promote them. "I've personally sent millions of dollars to China. I've gotten millions and millions of dollars of products and I've never even been to China."
