ITV: thong contest
London-listed ITV has won few "Melts" - as inamorati are termed on the show - among investors. If ITV is to become the market's "Type on paper", as Love Island contestants would say, something more attractive is needed. Should ITV extract payment from both Virgin and Sky to enable them to show the broadcaster's free to air channel ITV1 this could provide a new revenue stream. Ian Griffiths, running the ITV show as chief operating officer and group finance director, understands this. Meanwhile his targeted cost savings at ITV are slightly ahead of schedule.
