New Aviva chief Tulloch reboots management team
Aviva has announced a set of management changes as Maurice Tulloch, the newly appointed chief executive, puts his mark on insurer. Y Briggs will step down as chief executive of UK insurance, effective Wednesday, to be replaced by Angela Darlington, the group's chief risk officer, on an interim basis, while Mr Tulloch leads a review of the UK business. The company also said it would look to broaden its senior leadership team by adding Colm Holmes, chief executive of Aviva Canada, and Patrick Dixneuf, chief executive of Aviva France. As a result of the promotions of Mr Holmes and Mr Dixneuf to the group's senior leadership team, Aviva will not appoint a new international chief executive, the role held by Mr Tulloch before taking the helm of the insurer. Mr Tulloch said Aviva had "Benefited enormously from his extensive industry experience".
