New boss of underachiever Aviva must move fast, if not break things

The motto could soon be resurrected at a distinctly more staid group: UK insurer Aviva. Aviva abruptly parted ways with Brit-Canadian boss Maurice Tulloch, who is leaving for family health reasons, on Monday. Shareholders have been salivating over an Aviva carve-up for more than a decade. Mr Tulloch's vision for Aviva - to do what it was already doing, but better - underwhelmed. Under the new principles, firms will have to ringfence their audit operations financially.
