South Staffordshire Water plc known as South Staffs Water is a UK water supply company owned by a privately owned utilities company serving parts of Staffordshire and the West Midlands, England. South Staffordshire Water Plc is part of South Staffordshire Plc. It purchased Cambridge Water in 2011. In 2013, KKR & Co. L.P., a company registered in the United States of America, acquired South Staffordshire Water from Alinda Infrastructure Fund.

South Staffordshire Water provides drinking water to 1.29 million consumers and supplies 330 million litres of water every day across a network of pipes that total 6,000 kilometres (3,700 mi) in length to approximately 500,000 homes and 36,000 business customers in an area covering 1,500 square kilometres (580 sq mi). Under Ofwat’s measure of overall service to customers, OPA, the company has been positioned in the top 5 of the generally 20–23 water companies in every year since 1999.

As South Staffordshire Water is a water only company Severn Trent Water provides all mains sewerage services to customers in South Staffordshire's designated area.

 How to complain about South Staffordshire Water

Step 1

If you have a complaint please call us in the first instance. Our overriding aim is to resolve your complaint as efficiently and effectively as possible and if possible we will provide an immediate response.

While we don't provide sewerage services, we bill and collect charges for used water and surface water drainage on behalf of Severn Trent Water so that you only receive a single bill.

We will answer complaints about sewerage charges, but if your complaint is about your sewerage pipes or services, please contact Severn Trent Water.

Under our Guaranteed Standards of Service, if we fail to respond to your written complaint within 10 working days from receipt we will automatically issue you with a payment of £30.

If you are dissatisfied with the way your complaint has been dealt with you can request an independent review from the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) who represent water and sewerage consumers.
